March 7th: The Big Urban Food Debate
On the rise of the municipal elections representatives of political parties of Almere will debate about food policy during The Big Urban Food Debate on March 7th. Urban food supply is one of the most important topics of our time. How do we supply people in the city of food sufficiently, live healthy lifes, waste less food and if they do in a better way?
The debate will kick off with a presentation of the manifesto of the Flevo Campus Think Tank. A varied group of 20 students and young professionals have researched Almere and its food policy in the last months. Their manifesto summarizes their recommendations to put food back on the political agenda.

All the political parties are invited (CDA, VVD, D66, PVV, Leefbaar Almere, PvdA, SP, GroenLinks, ChristenUnie, AP/OPA, Fractie Eekhuis, Fractie van Dijk, Fractie Hengstman) to debate the ambitions of Almere in food, based on 3 statements creataed by the participants of the Flevo Campus Think Tank.
